At Sugaree Bakery, our passion for baking started with pastry chef Pat Rutherford-Pettine who opened the door in 1996. It wasn’t long after St. Louis got a taste of her desserts that word spread and business picked up. Soon, Pat was joined by her husband and Culinary Institute of America (C.I.A.) graduate, Jim Pettine. After making the decision to retire in 2022 they were approached by Megan & Derrick Cobb (current owners of Sweet EM's ) Who are excited to have the opportunity to continue Pat & Jimmy's delicious legacy.
