At Sugaree, our passion for baking started with pastry chef Pat Rutherford-Pettine who opened the doors in 1996. It wasn’t long after St. Louis got a taste of her desserts that the word spread across town and business started to pick up. Soon afterward, Pat was joined by her husband and Culinary Institute of America (C.I.A.) graduate, Jim Pettine. After making the decision to retire in 2022, Pat and Jimmy were approached by Megan & Derrick Cobb, the owners of Sweet EM's Coffee & Ice Cream which is a neighboring business also in the historic Dogtown neighborhood.
Megan and Derrick are excited to have the opportunity to continue Pat & Jimmy's delicious legacy, and will strive to keep the standards and traditions of the Sugaree Baking Company alive for many generations to come.

We offer a wide variety of baked goods, including breads, cakes, pastries, and more. All of our products are handmade from scratch with the finest ingredients and are available for purchase in-store, through pre-orders online and over the phone.
